Calibration

Bench Tree offers orientation module (OM) calibration and calibration verification using its advanced patented process (U.S. patent no. S9,250,100). This helps ensure that your OMs (whether Bench Tree or third-party) operate consistently, within an acceptable degree of accuracy downhole. Extensive reports and certificates are kept on each serial number for all repair and calibration activities.

An OM typically needs to be calibrated if it fails a roll test in your shop and/or exhibits abnormal data. Should this occur, Bench Tree can inspect your OM in our calibration facility to determine if it is functioning correctly and requires calibration. Our facility allows the module to be inspected in a clean, controlled, non-magnetic environment. Calibration temperature ranges from 25°C to 150°C, 175°C, 185°C and 200°C.

Third-party models that are currently calibrated at Bench Tree include:

  • GE/Tensor
  • Enteq/XXT
  • JAE
  • NOV/Tolteq
  • QDC
  • Applied Physics Systems
  • Others are frequently being added
